Bushcraft

Learn how to make fire, build a shelter and survive in the woods

What to Expect

Set in the ancient woodlands surrounding Biblins Campsite, options for activities in a Bushcraft session include:

  • Learning how to make a fire safely
  • Using a spark to generate a flame
  • Advanced fire making
  • Building a shelter
  • Making artist’s charcoal or elder bracelets

Using a spark to generate a flame can require many attempts and a resilient approach. This activity can be related to the formation of new materials, Global Warming and our Stone Age ancestors.
